Meet Rebeca Shearer
Founder, Family Nurse Practitioner, Nutritionist
The Sunshine Center was founded by Rebeca Shearer. As a young child, Rebeca became interested in nutrition and herbs, taking walks with her grandmother who would point out different 'medicinal' plants. This sparked her curiosity in learning more about herbs. After graduating high-school, she enrolled in a Nutrition program where she focused on nutrition, herbs, and holistic living. At the same time, she enrolled in college courses towards becoming an RN. Rebeca knew immediately that working in the hospital was not her passion. After graduating, God provided the perfect opportunity for her to work at The Johnson Center. She has worked there for over a decade, and continues to be a part of their team. Over the years she learned a great deal about functional medicine and intravenous infusions.
In late 2021, a dear uncle got gravely ill, and at one point was admitted into the hospital. In search of different therapies, Rebeca learned about Ultra Violet Blood Irradiation (UVBI). The benefits, low risk, and success of this treatment modality piqued her interest! Searching for a clinic to provide this treatment to her uncle proved to be impossible, and sadly he passed away while in the hospital.
Rebeca vowed to be a source of hope and light to those in need and successfully completed training in UVBI and Ozone therapies. With that, she opened up The Sunshine Center, to enhance the healing of chronic conditions for individuals in all walks of life!
